  Some really interesting and creative dishes. Also some really nice wines. Unfortunately, I didn’t think the food tasted amazing. Seems a bit like the goal of elevating food as an art form took priority over making food that tastes really good. Which is fine, as it was enjoyable to see what the chef came up with and see what was possible, but it would be great if the food also tasted really good. Some of the dishes were quite tasty though. TBH I think the bread with salt / butter / dips was the best thing I had there

  Needless to say, I was flabbergasted that they didn’t do anything to rectify the 50 minute debacle they put us through on a day that was meant to celebrate my birthday and a new job. The experience was so poor that I wish I had never celebrated a special occasion there.

  They happened to still bring it out but I reiterated that I didn’t want it anymore so they took the dessert back and about 5 minutes after that, they brought me a complimentary cake with a candle on it. But by this point, I was over the whole experience. Why they couldn’t bring this celebratory cake out during the 50 minutes we awkwardly sat there with nothing at our table, I will never know.

  Once our entree wrapped up, my husband received his dessert. I thought this was weird since they didn’t bring my dessert out at the same time so I informed them for a 4th time about my dessert. 50

  minutes go by (no exaggeration...50 minutes) and my dessert is nowhere to be found..the head server came by once throughout all of this. It took so long, that by the end of it, I was tired so I asked for the check and told them I didnt need the dessert.

  Soon upon arrival, we put our menu choices in, and soon after, I decided I wanted a dessert for myself. I asked 3 separate employees if I could put my order in before it was actually acknowledged. Once our dinner decisions were set, I asked for the wine menu. Between receiving the menu, making my selections, and actually getting my first glass of wine, 45 minutes passed. I was a little frustrated by the delay since my husband received his beer in no time, but the sommelier informed me that this was only his 4th day at MB, it was busy, and he was very nice, so I gave it a pass.

  Have been here when they had just opened and was not surprise to the level they reached. Food is creative, well presented, amazing flavors and very intriguing.

  We had our dinner - the red tuna tartar was delicious, the veal for two was good, not great. We opted to do the 48 euro truffle add on, which was not worth it.

  My review is mostly based on the service my husband and I recently received at MB. We had dinner the other evening to celebrate my upcoming birthday and a new job that I will be starting next month. We chose this restaurant because it is nearing the end of our trip and we wanted to end it on a positive note (we had the option of having this nice 2 star Michelin dinner in London, Paris, Barcelona, or at home in Washington DC, but opted for MB given the timing and great reviews).

  Right before we received our check, the head waiter informed us that they wouldn’t charge us for the dessert we no longer wanted and handed us the 285 euro check ($350). I was baffled by the whole exchange.

  Very nice place, we were so hungry and the food was so good and no time for pictures :)
